SCORM
SCORM is a technical standard for packaging a course so it runs on different LMS platforms without being rebuilt. It defines how content is structured and how student progress is reported.
It came out of corporate and defence training, where courses had to move between systems from different vendors.
For an independent creator it is rarely relevant and adds complexity without clear benefit. It matters when selling to companies that require loading your course into the internal LMS they already run.
